EASIE Living opened in 2016 to support the Manawatū – Whanganui community with advice, equipment and information. The name EASIE comes from Equipment, Advise, Support, Information, Education.
This anagram spoke to our purpose as a place that could support our disabled and elderly customers and their whānau to live every day lives.
Easie Living is owned by Enable New Zealand Limited and holds the Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People Disability, Information and Advisory Service contract for the Whanganui region. The team work in partnership with Firstport.co.nz, a website which delivers National Disability Information and Advice Services contract.
Our Sensory Room opened in 2020 to provide a safe environment to our community in which to stimulate or soothe the senses through touch, sound and light. With the support of local parenting and Autism organisations, the sensory room came to life.
